For the final project, the class was split into teams. Each team was to act as a company, where we were to partake in all aspects of the production process of creating a garment. We identified our target market, and designed a collection based off of their needs. We then used the Optitiex Software Program to pattern, virtually fit and render half of the collection. We then used the patterns we made using Optitex, to create two physical prototypes. We created a technical pack for each garment in the two physical prototypes. Lastly, we had a photoshoot and created a booklet to document the project.

Our team was awarded the K-State Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry Grant, to further this project. This project was also jury selected to be displayed at the ITAA (International Textile and Apparel Association) 2021 Annual Conference.
